Café the Klos
If you want to eat like a Viking, go here. Huge juicy steaks, ribs to die for and a lump of lamb. The taste is amazing and there is a bar over the road to wait where you're collected from, when the table is ready! Always a good shout no matter what kind of food you prefer (not suitable for vegetarians).

Places to see:

Amsterdam canals
Amsterdam is the most watery city in the world. Its canals and harbours fill a full quarter of her surface. Its waterways have always been its essence and its source of wealth. Go for a canal tour: besides providing a stunning backdrop to the city’s historical center, floating down Amsterdam’s canals is one of the most memorable ways to discover the city's sights and attractions. Whether you’re a first-time or frequent visitor, everything in Amsterdam seems a bit more magical when viewed from a boat.

Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam
The Rijksmuseum, which in English means – The State Museum, exists for more than two hundred years and today belongs to the most breathtaking museums in the world. During its existence, the museum went through many transformations and remains now, especially after its complete renovation in 2013, the attraction you should not miss during your trip to Amsterdam.

Anne Frank House (Anne Frankhuis)
The Anne Frank House is a historic house and biographical museum dedicated to Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank. The building is located at the Prinsengracht, close to the Westerkerk, in central Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It preserves the hiding place, has a permanent exhibition on the life and times of Anne Frank, and has an exhibition space about all form of persecution and discrimination.

Places to relax:

Vondelpark in Amsterdam
Vondelpark is the largest city park in Amsterdam, and certainly the most famous park in the Netherlands, which welcomes about 10 million visitors every year. The Vondelpark is loved by Amsterdammers as well as by tourists, and is full of people - enjoying a sunny day, dog-walking, jogging, roller-skating, listening to music, people-watching, or just lazing about in grass. Free concerts are given at the open-air theatre or in the summer at the park's bandstand. Other attractions are the statue of the poet Vondel, the cast iron music dome, the Groot Melkhuis with playground for children, and the historical Pavilion with its restaurant Vertigo, opening in summer a popular terrace.

Amsterdam bos
Amsterdamse bos is a unique place just outside of Amsterdam. This is where the locals go to enjoy the nature, sports and culture. This multifunctional forest has it all: hockey fields, tennis courts, spa-wellness centre, open air theater, animal farms, lakes, outdoor centre and so on…You just have to visit this unique location. Rent a bike, use the public transport, take a taxi or just walk here. You won’t regret it.

Neighborhoods:

The old center
In the oldest part of Amsterdam you can still browse through medieval streets. The city of Amsterdam was built around the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam's oldest building dating from 1300. In this part of Amsterdam every stone tells a story! It's home to the main downtown shopping areas and attractions such as the Royal Palace, the Old Church, the Amsterdam Museum, Madame Tussaud's, and many canal-boat piers.

Jordaan
South of the Western Islands and Haarlemmerbuurt, the Jordaan is Amsterdam's 'it' neighbourhood for convivial cafes. The dark wood bar, flickering candles and frothy beers at 't Smalle have drawn locals since 1786. The Jordaan is also known for bountiful markets. Collectors have a field day perusing Antiekcentrum Amsterdam, a knick-knack mini-mall. The outdoor Noordermarkt sells troves of secondhand clothing and trinkets on Monday mornings, while farmers markets fill the narrow lanes on other days. Trams 10 and 17 roll by it all.

Leidseplein
Is one of the best places to go to enjoy Amsterdam's nightlife. The square itself and the surrounding streets are the touristiest in Amsterdam, and a collection of bars and nightclubs assure that there is always something going on. A great number of restaurants of all different ethnicities can be found in the side streets that lead away from the main square.
